Universal Detection Technology Emphasizes Growing Threat of Chemical and Biological Attacks in the United States and Abroad

Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies that protect against biological, chemical, and radiological weapons, believes that the United States needs to update its chemical and biological defense efforts in order to deal with the evolving and growing threat of an attack on the US soil with such agents.
A recent report published by the RAND Corporation, states that "given the inherent secrecy with which states and other actors will conduct [chemical and biological] CB agent development, adversary programs could acquire new CB agents years before US defense planners recognize those agents. After the US intelligence community recognizes those CB agents as threats, the United States will probably need many more years to establish a comprehensive defense against them. Such gaps in CB defense capabilities pose a potentially serious risk to US military operations."
Rogue nations and terrorist groups have developed new and more sophisticated scientific capabilities and dual-use manufacturing sectors have proliferated, increasing the threat of development of lethal chemical or biological agents. The Anthrax attacks of 2001 were one incident which showed how just a few grams of weaponized anthrax sent through the postal system caused such havoc. "In the coming decades, these factors will likely increase the probability that the United States will face 'unknown' CB threats against which existing defenses are inadequate even for US military personnel," the report said.
According to a report by NBC New York, "Security officials are warning the leaders of major Wall Street banks that Al Qaeda terrorists in Yemen may be trying to plan attacks against those financial institutions or their leading executives." Intelligence analysts have suggested they have a general but growing concern that operatives in Yemen may again try to send package bombs of biological and chemical agents through the mail to Wall Street bankers. The latest "Inspire" issue also made reference to trying to use anthrax in an attack, officials said.
"As the world witnesses unrest in some very volatile regions in the Middle East and North Africa, there is a growing concern that weapons of mass destruction can be acquired by rogue regimes and terrorists and be used against the United States and its allies. Universal Detection Technology has grown its product portfolio to address all aspects of CBRNE threats with fast acting detection of such threats," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "We recently added Tularemia to the list of agents that our detection kits can rapidly identify in a sample. We plan to add more detection capabilities for agents such as Brucella and Pox soon as we anticipate the types of agents that might be utilized by terrorists," added Tizabi.

Tempomat/Cruise Control EG EJ EH Civic - Monday, 23. August 2010
Entschuldigung -- Ich spreche kein Deutsch!

Did you ever locate your parts? I might be able to source parts for you here in Canada for cruise control. Shipping will be inexpensive if I can send them to my brother through military mail in Germany (in September).

Let me know if you're still interested and I can have a look around. It will be the complete kit with everything required, including all switches, parts, nuts, bolts and wiring (kabelbaum :) ). I wrote a DIY on the retrofit so I know what I'm doing.

A few questions first:
-Your interior colour (for steering wheel match)?
-Do you have airbags?
-Manual or Automatic?
Tempomat nachrüsten - Sunday, 22. August 2010
Entschuldigung -- Ich spreche kein Deutsch!

Sorry for waking an old thread, but I was wondering if you ever completed the Civic cruise control retrofit (Tempomat nachrüsten)? I would really like to know exactly all the parts required for a retrofit on your EUDM 96-00 Civic.

The reason I ask is because I wondered what the interest would be for other members if I removed entire kits here in Canada and shipped them to Europe for people to retrofit, through my brother who will be posted there with the Canadian Forces in September. The money saved on shipping is substantial through military mail: for example, shipping from Canada -> Brother -> DHL -> Your Front Door for a 2kg box of size 60cm X 30cm X 15cm would cost only about 15 - 20€ ... with normal international shipping this would cost about 50€! :o

I have written a DIY cruise control retrofit for a CDM 1994 Civic (link), so I am familiar with most parts that are required, and how to remove them, but I do know that the 96-00 operate a bit differently.

Anyway, hopefully you can provide a list or a DIY or something. You can send me a "Private Nachricht" if you like.
